Comma Strokes, Leaves,
Reeds: 1.
Shade Comma Strokes with the Avocado + a touch of Lamp
Black. 2. The Reeds have a highlight of Cadmium Yellow and the leaves
are divided down the center of each, with one side Avocado and the other the
Dark Green mix. 3. The stem lines are Dark Green mixes.
Details: 1. The trim line around the inside of the tray is Country Red. 2.
Liner work outline was added to the letters and the stars,
either using a Micro pen with a small nib or thinned Lamp Black and a liner. 3.
The trim color chosen was Country Red with Black
Plum for the handles and ball feet. For
the photography, I chose not to antique this project; but to antique would
really soften the look, as well as add an Old World charm
Finish: When completed,
varnish with DecoArt Satin 5-6 coats and when dry, again buff with #0000 steel
wool to soften any shine
