FEATURED PAINTING TECHNIQUE:

Stippling: There are many types of stippling. One with a deerfoot brush and one with a flat brush. The deerfoot brush has a heel and toe. You want to use the brush holding it upright so that the heel and toe are lying flat and working the brush in different directions so that you get a mottled effect. When moving from one color to the next, lighten your pressure so that you don't have a definite starting and stopping line. When stippling with a flat brush, corner load the brush and pounce the corner of the brush in all directions so that the area to be stippled is covered. You want some of the background area to show through.
